The Morris Chair is an early type of recliner. It was first marketed around 1866 in England. It is known as an example of Arts & Crafts style mainly due to adaptations made by Gustav Stickley and others.

The Windsor Chair was developed in the late 17th century in England. The wood of the seat is carved to create a saddle. The legs are splayed at angles fore-and-aft as well as side-to-side to provide actual and visual support of the person sitting.
